一、写作的技巧
1、全篇之间前后呼应
做到前后呼应可以使整篇文章读下来更显一气呵成，最简单的方式是首尾分别总结文章大意。比如说在第一段写了该同学是一名有研究能力、乐于分享的学生，那么就可以在最后一段这样写：因为该同学较强的研究能力和乐于分享的精神，我愿意向你们诚挚地推荐他。
2、段落之间承上启下
段落之间最基本的要求就是要做到承上启下，即使段落之间的关系仅仅是并列。很多推荐信的正文部分的两个段落或者三个段落完全可以单独拎出来其中的一段另成一篇推荐信，这不能说是错误的，但是可以说是不够严谨的。很多人坚持这样成稿并不是不知道这不够完美，而是因为这样成稿实在是可以省下不少脑细胞，这委实是一个偷懒妙招。为什么这样说呢？因为但凡要求推荐信做到承上启下，就意味着要花费更多的力气去思考怎么承上启下，运用什么句子来实现承上启下，很多时候去思索这些句子比写内容更困难。可是这毕竟是人生之大事不是？有能力者，还是该尽力去思考一下如何承上启下吧。
3、句子之间逻辑鲜明
相比前面所说的以及后面要说的所有技巧，句子之间的逻辑性严格来说并不是技巧，而是基本要求。可是就是在这个最基本的要求上，几乎人人都会出现问题。我曾经尝试去了解为什么人人都会出问题，反馈回来的信息旗帜鲜明地指向了一个客观理由和一个主观不努力。首先来说客观理由：我们平时的沟通所依赖的多数都是口头语言，鲜有依赖纸面文字沟通的情形。而我们在说话时，可以想到什么就说什么，不必提前打好草稿，依照草稿来读（或许演讲除外），所以其实我们甚至不需要考虑下面这句话是否跟上面这句话有逻辑性，只要对方能懂，问题就迎刃而解。
二、写作时要注意的
一是越是知名度高、录取比例低的学校，推荐信在整个申请材料中发挥的作用越大。
二是推荐信的作用不是重复申请人的考试成绩，而是表现学生的“无形资质”，如学术能力和兴趣，应对挫折和困难的.能力，创造力、求知欲。
三是推荐信的着眼点不是替学校做出录取判断，而在于客观地描述一个语言考试和学业成绩等用数字不能展现的全面的人。
四是好的推荐信要有具体事例，写出被推荐人的独有特点、与众不同的地方。语气诚恳、真实，写出推荐人本人和学生的接触感受，不能是从其他渠道获得的信息，要用正式的信头格式。

首先来了解下推荐信的提交步骤。
第一步：确认推荐信递交方式。
网上递交电子版还是邮寄纸质版根据学校的要求而定。一般在学校硕士申请要求介绍里面以及开通网申后的推荐信一栏学校都会清楚的注明。为了节省材料审理时间，目前几乎所有学校都接受网上提交推荐信的这种提交方式。只有极个别学校要求申请者将纸质的推荐信邮寄到学校指定的地址。当然还有一种情况，就是当你网推这种方式因为某些未知原因而无法完成时，学校给出的解决办法一般有两种，一种是将推荐信发到指定邮箱；
另一种就是把纸质推荐信邮寄到给定的地址。
第二步：推送推荐人信息，需在网申系统中完成。
目前都需要网上先将推荐人信息发送给学校，由学校系统统一给对应推荐人发送上传推荐信链接或寄送推荐信地址。所以在推送推荐人信息之前，需提前准备好推荐人相关信息：姓名、头衔、职务、工作单位、邮箱、联系方式以及含邮编的地址，与申请者关系，认识时间等准备在word文档里。一般建议在网申开通后，截止日期前1个月内，就建议首选推送推荐人信息给学校，以便留够充足的时间给相关推荐老师及时上传推荐信。避免因为推荐信不全，即使是截止日期后，学校也不会开始审理材料，而错过最佳审理时间。
第三步：上传或邮寄推荐信。
申请者需要尽快联系推荐人，请推荐人确认是否收到申请学校的邮件，并安排时间，建议在截止日期前完成推荐信的上传或邮寄。请申请者提醒推荐人准备一份PDF版和word版的该推荐人的推荐信，打印在带有推荐人工作单位抬头的空白信纸上，并有推荐人手签的正式的文件，另外部分学校网推中对于申请者各方面能力或素质的评估要根据推荐信中对申请者相关能力的推荐，两相结合来填写；推荐信中没有提及的其他能力的评价可以填的略低些或者无法评价；不要都是过分高的评分。
第四步：检查推荐信是否完成。
确认学校是否收到推荐信，避免由于推荐信不全学校无法审理材料。

一 推荐人态度要明确
推荐人是极力推荐还是有保留的推荐呢？当然，推荐人如果是极力而毫无保留的推荐申请者的话，那么说明申请者是足够的优秀啊！校方能感受到学生的人气和实力，maybe会对你另眼相待哦。有些学校的推荐表格中要求推荐人对学生进行综合评估，即说明该申请人在其所教学生中的评比。由于这个评估是推荐人的个人评价，所以可以相对偏高一些。
二 推荐信贵精也贵多
留学申请时，学校通常会要求2-4封来申请者的'学校导师或者教授或者实习单位领导的推荐信。在学校没有强制限定篇数的情况下，建议你提供足够的3篇。一般，每封推荐信至少能对申请者的2-3个特质作出推荐，那么3封推荐信差不多可以推荐申请者的方方面面，从学习潜力到研究能力，从个人性格到综合素质。
三 推荐信的格式要到位
推荐信的格式与一般书信基本无异，包括信头、发信日期、收信人姓名、称呼、正文、信尾谦称、签名、推荐人姓名、职称、工作单位、联系方式等部分。推荐信内容中提到的关于申请者的信息注意要与其他申请材料相匹配。
四 推荐人与申请者关系讲清楚
推荐信正文中，要交代清楚推荐人与被推荐人的认识时间，认识地点和认识途径。只有推荐人对申请者足够了解，推荐信才更可信才有的推荐。
五 推荐信要表现其“真实”性
推荐信尾部必须有推荐人的亲笔签名；推荐信提交与“学生无关”：推荐人直接把推荐信提交到学校指定的网址或系统，如果是纸推，推荐信要确保密封签字的推荐信，并在信封封口处也签上名字，信封正面写上表明信封类别“推荐信”。
六 推荐的要有理有据，忌空口无凭
对于专业明确的学生申请所作的推荐，一般侧重于申请者的天赋、学科潜力、学习能力、创新意识，工作态度、个人品行等，这是推荐信的核心内容。尤其注意的是推荐的“度”，恰如其分并结合实际事例的评价申请者的基础、能力和未来澳际，比言过其实的赞美更让录取委员会信服。

如何选择推荐人
既然推荐信是为了让老美更好的认识自己，那么自己就必须要在推荐信里全面的展现出自己的特色和优势，这里很有必要谈谈选择推荐人的问题，要展现自己不同的特点就必须找到相对应的推荐人，总体来说，一般3封推荐信至少2封是要涉及到申请者学术方面的内容，那么这2封涉及到自己学术方面的推荐信最好找上过自己课的，或者是做过项目的教授或副教授，这里我想强调一下，最好是要找副教授以上职称的人，因为涉及到学术领域，老美还是会对教授级人物比较看重，虽然可能不是每个学校都这样，但是如果想申请牛校的话，这个是肯定的。因为即使是在国内，副教授以下的人的话语权不多，份量也很轻，由此可见一斑。
对于这2封推荐信，最好能找到和自己比较熟悉的老师，并且强烈建议其中一人带过你做项目，这样的话，不仅能突出自己有一些项目经验的背景，而且让这样的老师写推荐信的话，可以说的内容会比较多，比如在项目中遇到了什么复杂问题，解决了什么问题，是如何解决的，在项目中与他人的合作关系是怎么样的。这样写的话可信度会很高，这样也正是老美想知道，想了解的。另一封推荐信可以找上课的老师写，找专业课的老师写最好，并且你在这门课的成绩应该最好要比较高，比如90+，或者排名3+，这样的话说理就很自然了，也可以突出你在这方面的优势，从而以小见大。
3封推荐信中有1封推荐信是要涉及到申请者平时的学习生活的，这样安排推荐信是为了更全面的展现出我们自己，学术方面有2封信的话，已经足够了。要是写3封推荐信都是关于自己学术的，也没有问题，但是不好，一是太单调，二是可能展现出的东西会有重复，浪费了资源。所以我强烈建议3封中有1封是写生活的，这一封推荐信的推荐人要求可以适当放宽，不一定很看重职称，网上也有很多人建议请自己的辅导员帮写，不过我还是觉得还是找老师写最好，辅导员不是我们的首选。在这封推荐信中我们可以写写平时参加的活动，自己在班级以及学校里的表现，课外的交际能力也是老美蛮看重的一环。
如何写推荐信
虽然现在很多学校都慢慢限制了笔推，而往往都采用网推的形式，不过其基本的准备过程并没有多大的变化。推荐信我认为最重要的就是要在事实的基础上突出自己某方面的特点。而且推荐信往往会由我们自己亲自来写初稿，然后老师改，自己亲自帮写推荐信的老师有，但是毕竟少。以下都是个人自己写推荐信的一些经验，推荐信模板在TAISHA上有，但是不全，所以我还是将我的整个推荐信的每段的思路写下来：
第一大段，建议写推荐信的老师自己介绍下自己，毕竟美国教授只认识中国很少的教授，如果是同学自己写，也一定最好调查下老师的职位什么的，开头介绍下，对老美认识推荐人还是有一定好处的。不用太担心推荐信的模板问题。具体的开头我的附件里有模板。
第二大段，写老师如何认识自己的以及何时认识的`，这个还是挺重要的，从认识的时间的长短，基本可以看出这封推荐信的份量。然后写老师对你的大致的评价（good,outstanding,etc.），再写一点理由，理由这个就是具体问题具体分析了，也就是说个小例子。
第三大段，这一段是重点段落了，这一段的核心任务就是要写出自己的亮点、特色，写出自己的与众不同，也是推荐信的最大难点。这一段的内容是我们最应该琢磨的了。每个人都是唯一的，所以我们的优势，特长就不会完全相同。申请美国一般来说是3封推荐信，我们可以将自己的优势合理安排到各个推荐信当中，达到相互补充的作用，相信大家也早就知道这点了。如果段落长的话，可以分成2段。
第四 第四大段--结尾，这个段落很模板，感觉，一般就是写强烈推荐这个学生到某某项目，并欢迎随时来邮件，写上老师的电子邮件。
下面是写推荐信时的注意事项：
1.如果是第一次写推荐信，建议先参考模板，毕竟推荐信的格式本来就是会比较死板一些，除非有老师亲自帮写的，不过总体来说，大体格式一样。等写出一篇完整的推荐信来了之后，再进行反复的修改，这时可以适当调整推荐信各部分的内容与逻辑关系。
2.推荐信的内容切忌不要写得太浮夸，因为老师的评价越客观，给人的可信度越高，不过适当的有一些赞美是必须的。
3.其实如果推荐信内能让老师写出自己一个到两个不足（不是很大的，不会严重影响到录取的那种不足哈~~），其实是很有帮助的，现在有些网申系统中明确要求要推荐人指出同学的不足。就我自己来看，指出一些不足，反而会增加推荐信的份量，因为这样可以让老美更好的认识你。
4.如果是自己项目的导师写的推荐信，一定要做足文章，他写的推荐信份量应该是最重的，因为他知道过你做实际的项目，他对你的能力和知识水平有绝对的发言权，感觉老美也会比较看重这方面。
5.结尾最好有老师的电子邮件和电话。邮件一定要有，电话可以没有，电话可以留办公室的，这个可以看老师怎么说。
6.推荐信最好不要超过一页，以A4纸格式为准。这样既容易突出重点，又使得老美可以耐心看。

I became acquainted with Miss xx when I met her beautiful writing on her mathematic assignments and I remembered her name at once.
